Awesome headlights

As an aside to these particular lights, I installed Cibie soda glass lenses with H4 halogen bulbs and the high beam setting will melt the pavement at night. Gotta be careful where you aim them.

They are Cibie (pronounced "cee-bee-aye") E-codes. Available at most web sites that handle these lights. I Have them covered with wire covers as they break very easily. Am running Cibie Amber Airports under the bumper. Covered those with the 3M clear lense protectors (a trick to install). Honestly, just try Google.

you can get the silverstars at pretty much any major autoparts retailer in the US. I bought mine at kragen. Overseas, i have no idea besides the internet

I drove my TR6 home from Texas over the last 3 days. I installed the Silverstars along the way. they are definetly brighter, and much whiter than the old halogens that were in the car.
I was actually impressed with the halogens that were in the car. They were betterthan I was expecting them to be.
However, when I replaced the passenger side bulb, and left the old one on the drivers side it was easy to see how much better these Silver Stars are.
I definetly give em two thumbs up.
I got mine at Advance Auto Parts.

Being a 4A driver with the old lamps on board moving up to these Silverstars would be great, do we share the same headlamp config three prong centre attachment for wiring connection. Will look to our local retail outlets up here in the great white north.

Regarding the dip switch for high lows, you also may have as on my column light selector switch a high beam flash selection for passing, this will work by pulling the selection handle towards you, it will flash the high beams only without the headlamps on or with the running / parking lights on, once the low beams are on the floor dip switch must be used.
Thanks for all the info on the new lamps. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF
