Sherlock mentioned that Basil would get a kick out of this car, and I figure everyone else would too...

So, I dropped into a free Volkswagen meet in West Chicago a couple of weeks ago-it was a small show, maybe thirty or forty cars in all, but was pretty high quality nonetheless. Lots of stockers and customs (other photos can be seen on my Flickr page). But this baby stood out:



I can't remember offhand if the pink is a stock Karmann color, but it's striking enough, especially two tone with black. But the band logos painted all over take it to another level. Pretty fun, and an excellent example of someone not taking themselves too seriously.

This Ghia (below) is a "regular" at Pennsylvania Hillclimb events here in the northeast.
