This checklist was created by BCF member and former MG forum moderator (and good friend) Tony Barnhill. It lists many things to check before starting and driving a long-dormant MGB. While he wrote this with the MGB in mind, it is fair to say that much of this checklist would be applicable to many of our little British cars.

The loss of Tony was a lost encyclopedia on British cars! Like a lot of others, I really miss the guy.

As do a lot of us here. I did not know him personally, but spoke to him through the BCF.
Took the wind out of my MG sails when he passed and really made me stop and think about a lot for a good long while.

Miss Tony every time I look at my '70B, lots of stuff from his barn in her. Loved hanging out in his shop and chatting endlessly about our cars. RIP my friend.

As I've related in the past, I'd been "stalking" The Autoist for quite a while, emailing his address as posted on his site with no joy. Followed his "tracks" and ended up finding him here on the BCF. Had many good interactions after that and many 'phone conversations. He was dedicated enough to spend time documenting procedures and systems many of us who worked on them for our living were either too busy or maybe too lazy to do. He furnished quite a few bits that went into our current MGB here, too. Miss him a great deal.
