Well Rob,The Avon 185 X 70 X 15 Cr6zz tire and the name Avon in particular are well known in the LBC world. They are not as popular as some other brands mainly because of their price. These tires in the preferred sizes, will cost about $200.00 Ea and up.---Fwiw---Keoke

I wanted these tires on my Healey, but could not get them here in the country. These are the tires which Denis Welch reconmend for Big Healeys acording to an atricle in Classinc&Sportscar or ClassicCars (I think the article is from 1999, but not sure)

Have Pirelli P:600 205/65 on rear and Pirelli P600 185/65 on front, both on 60spokes,15x?, offset?

15x5.5 or 15x6. i want to use them on the street. since this is going to be a summer only, non commuting car i was after something sticky but with a period correct side wall. this car will be low usage and since most of these cars "time out" the tires before they wear out i was looking at these. low profile tires just do not look right on a 1962 tr4. i am widening the stock steel rims to suit a 185 or 195 width tire (stockish appearing with hub caps). vredestein is another choice but won't be as sticky.
