Thanks, Tom - my dad would've loved viewing these!

Thanks, Tom.

Some great photos of mechanics performing maintenance in there. Subjects for dioramas.

Did you get my e-mail with the entertaining musings?

Excellent photos!

As I recall... Are most of these official photos from the military? Or just photos taken by one of flyers?

I recently acquired a large photo album (about 200 photos) of German soldiers, possibly 1930's up to WW2... They are all good quality images but appear to be taken by one of the soldiers... It's going to take ages for me to scan them, but there are many photos of military trucks, soldiers, and pontoon bridges... Two samples I've scanned so far...

A convoy of Henschel trucks, likely towing pontoon bridges, see photo below...

And I did have to spend a fair amount of money for this one, but well worth it...

Those were great, not the usual propaganda ones that would have been put out at the time. Also good to see that they were concentrating on the support guys for a change.

Really cool shots.

I'd love to find one of those Jeeps leftover, un-assembled in a box somewhere.

Thanks, Tom. A view of the war not often seen. A peek behind the curtain.
