Saw it today in 3D. Wow! Can't say I've seen anything like it.
 
What about the thing as a whole? Did the thing make a story or was it all 3-D and no substance?
 
The reviews have been good so far, can't wait to see it....

I did go to see it for the effects, but I have to say the characters sucked me in. Maybe I didn't have high expectations in that regard, but I was far from disappointed.

I dunno: a $380,000,000 cartoon with little or no real dialogue (or character development)?

Hmmm, seems like a kid's movie, but kids buy lotsa tickets nowadays.

I'll wait til it gets on Netflix. :yesnod:
 
You beat me to it Greg. I was going to say that just because something looks like a cartoon, doesn't mean that it is for kids. Fantasia being a prime example.

I saw James Cameron interviewed on Fox the other day and he sure seems more excited about it than he was about Titanic. He said it was harder to make too...Go figure.
 
Saw that as well. I usually like his work, Alien was an outstanding flick in its time. I'll likely go see this after the "rush" calms down.
 
My secret is going to the first show of the day. There was about 50 people at the show Saturday @11AM. Only once (and I can't remember the movie) has the theater been more than half full and I had someone sitting in front of me.
