We dodged all the rain. Tour day, Saturday, was bright and sunny. Fantatic tour through your own neck of the woods. Then on Sunday it rained in the early morning. We didn't roll out of the garage until about 9 AM. By then the rain had broken up. The forecast was for more rain late afternoon.
A bit of rain fell on the way over to San Juan Bautista, but once there the sky cleared up for the most part. Everyone gave their cars a good towelling off, and the show went on. About 70 cars were entered. Right about the time we were departing about 3 PM the sky look quite dark again, and big drops started falling. But once on the road, we got out from under it all. By 4 PM after the car was back in the garage, the big downpour set in for the night.
It was a great car weekend after all. We had been looking forward to this event the better part of a year. With the dry weather we normally have, it is easy to forget that rainy days are quite ususal for car events in most parts of the county. After all, Hershey is known for being a four day mud hole more often than not! So with a good wax job, and a got top, the show goes on. But for us, we don't have the latter right now. So we were very lucky on this outing.
