Autolite/ Motorcraft 2bbl carb needed

UPDATE!!!
Vacuume laeks get me every time.
I tear my hair out trying to figure out why the carb won't dial in and miss the nasty vacuume leak around the intake manifold.
3 hours and a new intake/exhaust manifold set, and the thing is running like a top. this has been a 4 month fight to get this thing running right, but the drive I took tonight really made my day.
I'm still glad I put the new carb on though.....

It's always "th' dumb stuff" we don't look for: always tend to "Over tech" the problem. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Glad it's sorted.

Yup, I'm happy, but I always feel so stupid after something like that.
I had to take it out for a drive today just to make sure I wasen't dreaming that it was running good last night. It's for real! now on to the steering rods

BTDT!

"BoneIdle" had a brake issue with his GT... rears weren't coming on at all. "Stupid switch/valve thingie onna inner fenderwell!" sez I. Disassemble! BAH!!

...it was the bloody rear flex hose wot had collapsed.

I *know* better than to not check the hoses first, but had it in me pea brane that it was that bias valve and sooo...

A right good bit of tail chasing and time wasting. And feelin' a real twit afterwards. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

Oh, I've got a terrible story along these lines, but even after 33 years it's a painful one to relate. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hammer.gif

Jeff, now that you have teased us with that intro, I think that a little confession may be good for the soul, cleanse your conscience, as it were. Inquiring minds want to know.

you'd think I'd have learned my lesson after chasing a poor running issue on my 77 MGB for the better part of a year. then one day , just by chance I plugged off the brake booster line for some reason and the thing smoothed right out. The booster was bad inside.
I just wasent paying attention.
We're listening when you're ready Bugeye hehehehe
