I wasalmost always the only British car at Autocrosses and always the only Triumph.

I autocrossed for eight years and other than the few new mini's running (they claimed to be British, why else would they have a big British flag on the roof?) I was almost always the only LBC. Occasionally a real mini showed but and embarrassed many of the regulars with his go cart like handling. I never managed to to score any top runs oweing a lot to being in the same category as highly modded cars because my intake and headers were on my car. Oh ,yeah, my driving was never the best but boy I enjoyed myself

Nice pics, our local multi-marque british car club does autocrosses a couple times a year, lots of old British cars from stock to very modified, we have about 10-15 guys that run on a regular basis, then some guys with Miatas and such that show up and join the club so they can run too, it is a very good time, with about 20 guys we split into two groups and do a couple heats of three runs each, I love the short term intense concentration and adreniline rush of the Auto-x. A fe years ago a club member's wife rented him a Lotus Elise for his Birthday, he brought it to the Autocross, we all drove it.....

yeah, I am in a street prepared class on street tires, probably the only one on street tires in that class. I get a lot of compliments for a last place car. My wife gets first in her class, the only driver --- but she seldom rubs it in because I have better times.
