Having been quoted a price of somewhere north of $100 a Quart for Triumph Signal Red Paint, I am shopping online for alternatives, Auto Color Library Restoration Shop products are much cheaper.
I have talked to a few professional body shop guys about the various discount paint lines, they generally say exact factory paint match isn't as good (not a concern) UV and fade protection may not be as good (car will mostly be garaged, so maybe not a major concern) and one guy out of three said it does not lay down as flat (concern, but can be solved somewhat by sweat equity).
Any thoughts on this subject in general or the product mentioned in particular would be appreciated.
PM me if you think the message would be of concern to our host.
Thanks, Greg
