Australia National Rally in 2009

I realize I'm a tad early but we and another couple are planning a trip to Australia in 2009. We understand the National Rally is going to be in Perth that year. Is there any information as to dates, event hotel, etc availiable yet?
Any information would be appreciated.

As 1/2 of the "other" couple, I have another question.
Are there other "significant" Healey events that occur in
the early months of the year (Jan - Mar). Of course the
National Rally is the premier event but in the interest of
lower airfare a trip based on another Healey function
could be an alternative.

I get a few of the Australian AH club pubs, and I haven't seen anything about events that far in the future. Understandably, they're pretty much focused on 2008 events these days.

I could give you some contact info for Ozzie Healeyists, but I suspect that you could do just as well with a web search for the clubs there. Let me know if I can help.

Their national rally is always Easter weekend, I believe. Of course that's the end of summer down thata way.

Great to hear that you are planning a trip "down under" in 2009. Yep, the National Rally for that year is to be held in Perth, Western Australia. Mr. Trummel is right though, we are a bit focused on 2008 at the moment.
These events take quite a lot of planning so I reckon that the basic structure of the rally will be already done, particularly the venue. I will endeavour to find out some details from my friends in W.A. and let you know.

I did find the W.A. club site and tried to email one of the officers that had been part of the Healey Challenge series of races last year. I hadn't heard any thing back so I thought I'd 'broaden' my request.
We are also in the preliminary planning stage and are trying to get our time frames blocked out.
As Bob said any info on other events would be very helpful also. Missing part of winter has a definite appeal to it.

If you could provide info on the questions in either of the first two posts it would be very helpful. Actual event dates for any of the 2009 events would help us decide on when to come.
