As you can tell I am an Austin man.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you can explain to me why so many people took the beautiful and lithe Austin grill off so many Austin Princess Limousines and shoved in place the common and utterly gigantic Rolls Royce grill:

Abominable Austin

I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've seen this, and with some irony the cars are always painted virginal white!

The RR grille belongs on a RR, if you ask me.
 
Yeah... But it was once owned by Carlos Santana, don't forget that important historical fact... :lol:
 
Look at what an Austin Princess and a repop RR radiator shell cost compared to a similarly bodied Wraith, Silver Wraith, etc. then you'll see the motivation to make tis change.....plus 90% of people out there wouldn't know the difference anyway....
