Great 100M Anniversary issue with all pages dedicated to that model.

Nice job Reid and all.

Austin Healey Magazine is the monthly publication of the Austin Healey Club USA. You can sign up online here. I believe the 100M issue is provided free to new members, as long as the supply lasts - but don't quote me on that! I'm just the webmaster. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/computer.gif

It was a great issue. Reid does a wonderful job.

Yes Great magazine Reid, just got my copy last week.

I enjoyed the article on Roy Jackson-Moore. He was at the the European meeting last year with that same car. I attache a picture of it and also a picture of my car with Roy behind me as we both ascend the Stelvio pass.

Not sure he was very impressed with my driving. Evry time I took a right hairpin the drive shaft hit the body making an ugly sound. To mitigate this I coasted around the right handers as wide as possible then put the power on when the car was straight. Left handers I took normally so he must have wondered what the heck was going on!

Just went through the magazine again and all the articles and pictures were great except the article titled "A 100M Bought from the Original Owner". The reason I did not like it all is based 100% on jealousy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hi Bruce & All,

Thanks for the good words about the mag. Brad is correct that everyone who joins the Austin-Healey Club USA will receive a copy of it in their "New Member Packet," at least until the supply runs out.

By the way, for anyone who's not aware, there are two clubs for Austin-Healeys that are nationwide in scope. I'm currently the editor for one, and beginning next year I'll be the editor for the other one, the Austin-Healey Club of America. I encourage everyone with an interest in these cars to join both clubs. You can learn all about them at their websites, and join them online using a credit card. The small dues payments will be some of the best $$ you ever spend on this hobby.

Thanks again for your support! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Reid - I did just that after all these years, join that Second National Club, I know you and Gary will certainly have great articles for the membership to read in the repective magazines, especially with the 50'th Anniversary of the 100-SIX coming up on 9/28/06.

Actually since I am joining clubs I should also renew membership in the AHTSC, which is a great regional club in the Mid Atlantic States

I have been a member of both clubs for just over 10 years, and I enjoy them both. Very fine job on the 100M Golden Anniversary issue. About the piece called "100M bought from the original owner"...as nice as the car is, and it is very special indeed, it's the top (hood) that my eyes keep coming back to. I can't recall ever seeing a top fit so perfectly on any English sports car.

Glad you liked the 100M Golden Anniversary issue! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif The top on my 100M -- and all "soft parts" icluding the interior, top, side curtains storage bag, tonneau, and boot lining -- were custom made for it under the supervision of Guru Roger Moment. He's good! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

I was told you are now selling this car and although I find the asking price of $18,000 quite high I am willing to add another $5,000 to that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Well, since you brought it up, why yes, I do have a BT7 for sale. Interested parties please inquire within (via email to editor_reid@hotmail.com. Yes, it's $18k and needs some body work, but it's mechanically very good with many, many engine upgrades and a factory hardtop, and could potentially be driven home. Fly to Portland, Healey home![/sales pitch] /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angel.gif
