Austin Healey Calendar Typo

Sorry guys for the date typo in the 2013 Austin Healey Club USA's calendar. Oh well one little mistake out of hundreds of dates I have to enter by hand can't be the end of the world. I thought the other 99.99% turned out pretty good. How bout a little slack. It takes a lot of effort to do that job!

Hi Jeff,
I'll take the lead on this since I was the one who initially posted the comment about it. Please, please don't take what I wrote as anything but gentle ribbing among friends. The magazines, including the calendars, produced by the two clubs are a source of great enjoyment for all us. One of the calendars is posted in my work office (yours) and one in my home office (Reid's). My co-workers and I had quite a laugh when I told everyone it was the 28th before I quickly realized the error. I just wanted to see if anyone else in the forum had picked up on it and maybe had a similar experience. As I said in an earlier post, I am an editor-in-chief of a scientific periodical, and I know the problems associated with the job, and I know the fear of mistakes. This was a really minor, (I thought) humorous, and unexpected (how the heck did that creep in there anyway?) error. Congratulations to you and Reid for producing the magazines and shame on me for poking fun.

One good thing came out of this, though, it looks as if you are now a member of this Forum. Welcome aboard!

I don't even use a calendar per se. What I do use is a day at a glance on my desk and everything else is on my computers which include my desktop, IPad and Iphone and we sync on a regular basis. The only reason why I like the calendar is to look at the pictures and then I put it with my other magazines. I would suggest that I am probably typical but then maybe not so much? Summarily don't sweat the small stuff and I am sure that when the 'error' is discovered we will just snicker or giggle depending on whether we've had our morning coffee or not.

Jeff,

We realize the amount of effort that goes into these publications, websites, event planning, etc, all of it as volunteer efforts. A little gentle ribbing comes with the territory. Think of it as the first scratch on your Healey; now you can relax and enjoy.
