Austin-Healey 100 front splash pan / splash shield question.

I see that you can buy them in steel or aluminum and I'm not sure which to purchase. Does anyone happen to know what the cars shipped with from the factory?

If steel is available then it would be correct. When I restored my car the pan was missing so I replaced it with an aluminum one which is all that was available at the time (1982). No one's ever called me out for it.

The last 20 100s I have restored all have had aluminum front valance. I don't think I have ever seen one with steel.

Chris, try Curt Arndt. A year or so ago he had some NOS ones available for the 100. Don't know what's left.
