austin champ for sale

see....this is why the <span style="font-style: italic">craigslist helper</span> is dangerous. :jester:

ya think? BTW got your letter yesterday - will see what I can do

Tony's working on the Morris pickup...Bo gave me the contact info for the guy he uses for shipping - gotta work out that before anything else....I see 1275 w/ribcage, wire discs with MGB or MGC wire wheels; BRG with "theAutiost" & an MG logo on both sides in gold leaf.

Do you really think an 1800 will fit in there, Steve?

I think that it might, they used the series and the 1800 in the later Marina, but the 1275 is a perfect fit, and should be lots of fun! I like the clour scheme...... Parts for those things should be a breeze!

So, all.....we're trying to figure out what year the Morris Minor pickup is...here's the VIN as close as I can tell from one of the photos Bo sent me: OFH4/ 81501

Anybody got an idea?

So, there are still questions; but, it looks like:
Early Series II (April 52-Mid '58)....but, probably '54-'58 because of grille

O=LCV
F=Pickup
H=CKD Finish
4=North American Import
81501

Wasn't "CKD Finish" code for a "completely knocked down" kit?

& wonder what "LCV" means?

OK, I think I've got the LCV and CKD thing, but what's the ZIP code for Grand Junction, Colorado got to do with it?:smile:

hehehehe...

Think when Jerri & I get back from Florida, we're gonna fly out to Phoenix & look it over.

& does anybody know where thast car number (81501) would fit in the yearly runs?

Looks like the VIN is OFH4/81501

I also have the chassis number & build number

So, the owner sent me, like, 20-some photos & I called him back to tell him I'd pay his price....then, I emailed him a day or so ago to tell him I was gonna fly out to see it, pay for it, & arrange shipping.....never heard back from him until I called him this am.

Sold! Seems the original owner saw the ad & bought it.
