My oldest son (now a pilot for Southwest) has a one-degree separation from Orville Wright. Shaun first started his flying journey flying gliders in the Civil Air Patrol. His instructor was an old fellow named Al Santilli. Al had his glider pilot license signed off by Orville Wright.
