TR2/3/3A Attaching HS6s to the stock TR3 manifold.

Anyone out there made this switch? Biggest problems/issues, like linkage perhaps? Thanks.
 
Tom, best I remember, you will need all the linkage between the carbs as the choke is controlled by a single bar and the cable comes in from the top you may have to cut it to clear the bonnet. You may have to reverse the push rod to get a good push and full throttle. Couple of knit picking adjustments but you will be so happy not getting all the leaks in the choke housing.

In addition, the throttle turns the opposite direction on HS6 vs H6.
 
I just did exactly that.

I bought a new set of HS6 from Joe Curto in New York.

The deal was worth every cent of the extra cost of the postage to Australia.

Joe also supplied a TR6 bracket and linkages which fits between the two lower carburettor flange bolts, I suspect its the same as a TR4 bracket.

A small amount of playing around makes the linkages work like a dream and no longer do you have to have an arm like Popeye to pull the choke although you have to re route the cable so it pulls from the top
