At the beginning ... 1960

The mobile interface doesn't get the BBcode icons, but maybe I can do this right. Oops, that doesn't look right on my phone. So I changed "IMG" to "InG"

Code:
[InG]https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/XWRhJcpwcPgcZwLSQ7RjYMR0Z5c=/378x0:2734x1571/920x613/filters:focal(378x0:2734x1571):format(webp)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/46697812/1960-boston-patriots.0.0.jpg[/IMG]

Ok, the issue is that URL, even though it does seem to end in JPG is actually pointing to a database location (note the long string of characters followed by "=" ). However the actual direct URL is contained in that longer url and it is:

Code:
 cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/46697812/1960-boston-patriots.0.0.jpg

a-HA! Thanks for explaining that. I figured all that code had a purpose, but didn't have a clue what it was.

Still puzzling that some people could see the photo, and some not.

Thanks.

That is puzzling and not a clue why some could and some could not. Weird. Normally, if you see things like = or ? is a url it isn't a straight url, it's either pointing to a database entry or some php page.

yes, saw the image in the first post, and, finally realized what it was connected to:

superbowl.jpg

Probably no idea what they make foghorns out of, either.

That's great Tom. I'll have to start looking for a record of it to play on my Victrola.

Can't see it still...

And no surprise - SAINTS FAN! And, no, didn't watch it yesterday.

I'm not a Saints fan (nothing against them, just no connection to N'Awlins) but they were robbed plain and simple! That call (non-call) has to be the most egregious miscarrage in history!

"Walt - PM sent!"

Roger.

 and what of Shepherd's Pie?
