Got my lift and engine stand assembled. Lift is missing the handle to the hydraulic pump--always seems to be something. Have to make the drive back to Salt Lake and hound Pep Boys for a replacement. For the time being it does seem that the handle for the engine stand is the proper size, so I have a temp solution.

Looks like next weekend will be time for engine removal!
 
Most likely, Pep Boys is going to want you to exhange the hoist you have for a new one. Pep Boys scores very low points for customer service in my book.

If Pep Boys is difficult, you can make a temp handle (long screw driver, tire iron, whatever) while you contact the manufacturer for a new handle.
 
I'll give Pep Boys a chance, but I can't say that I'm all that hopeful. The real pain is that the store is some 40 miles away. For now, the handle from my engine stand is the perfect size.
 
And you don't need two handles do you.
 
Call and explain your situation to a manager before you make the long haul to Salt Lake. 40 miles is to far for BS.
 
I got the same lift & was missing a wheel. My wife went back and they gave her 2 so now I have a spare. Send a woman with 3 small kids and they do whatever she wants.
 
No kids here, and I'm not about to make my wife drive all the way into the city! I'll take Moris's advice and call in the morning. Don't expect too much trouble, but then again, customer service isn't all that important these days.
