Just wanted introduce myself and say hello to the fellow MG enthusiasts out there. I'm a Junior in college at the moment, casually searching for an B-GT project car. My father has owned a '64 B since the 70's, so I guess its in the blood! My website is devoted to my eventual plan for the car, so check it out if you have a moment to spare. Thanks guys

Thanks for the reply... I'm just looking for an earlier model. 66-67 would be my ideal, but I will never rule anything out. Thanks again

Ed,

Also check out www.mgcars.org.uk

This website has an extensive worldwide listing of MG's for sale. There are usually lots of North American cars listed for sale on that website in their classified section.

What Nial said ...

BritFest is Saturday, May 1, in Succasunna, NJ. That would be about a three hour drive from Reading, I'd guess. But it's the first big regional show of the year.

Definitely put the Carlisle Import / Kit Car Nationals on your agenda Not always a lot of cars for sale there, but a great place to network, and there are always a lot of Bs and B owners on the British Car Field. Let's see, the dates for Carlisle are May 15-16, I think.

Also, get in touch with the Lancaster County MG Club, known as the Lanco club. (They'll be at Carlisle) That would be a good network for finding what you're looking for.

Oh, also, since you're at Temple, touch base with the Philadelphia MG Club. (I can get you contacts at these places later, but am in a rush right now...)

Making it to these shows will definitely be my next plan of action. All of my friends drive Honda's... I think I need to meet some more people that have the LBC bug.

Thanks to everyone for the links and dates

Ed,

One more thing, don't be afraid to get out some MG and/or sports car club meetings (even their summer driving tours) just because you don't have one yet.

That's the best way to learn, develop friends and contacts, and may lead to that car you're looking for.

Father/Son bonding is in order... I'm going to suggest the Lanco Club to him and see if we can get some extra miles on his B

Welcome!

The upcoming "Moss Motors BritFest" here in North NJ is a great show, usually with a number of nice Brit-cars for sale....and it's not too far from you. Check the Moss Motors website for dates.

The obvious choice is to got to some of the Hershey and Carlisle car shows near you...they're mostly hot-rods, but you can find British cars if you look. I'll be at the Hershey Vintage Hill Climb this Spring (May 1&2)...there were some nice cars there for sale last year.

Hemmings can be good if you're careful:

...and there's always e-Bay....

One of my little brothers went to Temple Law and my office-mate took an engineering degree at Temple.
