Oh ... to be honest I have no idea how to address why you can't post smilies on that particular device (I didn't realize your could surf the net with a Kindle). Is that what you always use or do you sometimes visit on other devices?
 
The wife has a Kindle, I bought it for her before the iPad became popular and she pulls it out every once in a while she also surfs the net on it, it's a lot slower than her new iPad, which she uses all the time. Her Kindle is the latest version.
 
I use it 90% of the time. Have a few downloads of manuals on it, because it is quite portable with dual antennas. Can be in unattached garage and still be on-line. Use PC for office and inventory.
