What a great thing to be able to impact people like that!
I wish that I was able to be that great a person.

I would have thought you'd relegate that thing to the outhouse.

What a beautiful lady!

Our son, Paul, leaves for basic Monday night. Guess I needed to see this...

Mickey, where is your son going? Since you say he is going Mon. night, I would then guess Parris Island (USMC always takes them at night!)? It is always so hard to see them off like that! In thirteen weeks or so you will be so proud of what he has become. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grouphug.gif

I think she is noticed. AND by those who really count. Awesome.

Thanks, Mike.

Nope he joined the Army; headed to Ft. Benning, Georgia for nine week basic, then he gets a 24 hour vacation before reporting for Officer Candidate School, also at Benning. He actually leaves Tuesday morning, but they're leaving from Nashville, and his recruiter is picking him up tomorrow night to go there for the night.

Gonna be a loooonnngggg six months for him!

Mom and I are riding the emotional roller coaster right now!

We here can certainly empathize with you. It certainly sounds like he is on the right track, heading for OCS and all. We wish him luck and a good job in the service (one that will preferrably keep him out of harm's way!!). As with our boys, the experience cannot help but broaden his horizons!! The hardest part for us left on the home front is in filling all those little voids in our day that they filled. Attend his graduation from Basic, at least Ga. isn't all that far to go! It will be special. We attended them for both our boys and are so glad we did!(Even though the trip to San Antonio to celebrate with our guy in the Air Force was quite a long haul to see him for his 24 hour leave!)
