Arrest made in Jon Benet Ramsey case!

Unless you have been living in a cave, most of you (at least here in US) know of the infamous Jon Benet Ramsey case. They little girl in Boulder, CO who was murdered ten years ago (wow, has it been that long?) Well, it looks like they have made an arrest in the case - in Thailand of all places (Thailand happens to be a favorite spot for pedophiles).
Here is the story!

Heard it on the radio this afternoon - hope it pans out!
 
Guy's name is John Karr - Just saw on TV that his family says he was doing research for a book on pedophiles that he was planning to write - he was a teacher in California.
 
Go go good guys.
 
hmmmm - he was arrested in California in 2001 for possession of child porn but never appeared in court...& when they found him, he was in jail in Thailand on "unrelated sex charges" - nice guy.
 
And was supposed to start his new job as a second grade teacher at an international school just this last tuesday.
 
Wonder if this is really the guy?

Sounds all too strange to me. I am not convinced it is him.
His ex-wife apparently said he was with her when the murder happened. ??!!
 
I'm of the opinion he's using this as a way to keep his sorry arse outta Thai jail... if you don't have friends/relatives to BRING you food, you don't eat... and if you DO have food there's gonna be someone bigger/badder/meaner try and get it from you... I saw Thai prisons. From the outside only. NASTY place.
 
I'm thinking the same thing, Doc...better to go through this & then face the possession of child porn charges in California than linger in that place!
 
He'd-a been dead in a week. Guaranteed.

He looks a bit flaky, and I wouldn't be surprized if he'd made a false confession to get out of jail there and deported to someplace better....
