Hi Basil, Yes more Daimler representation would be great! Need some advertising on the DLOC or dlcentre??? North America seems underrepresented in the threads on either of the sites.

Ahhhh, the old jinx may have been bypassed. I cleverly sent a retainer to the owner of the Sapphire, with the promise of more on the way....of course now a giant meteor will crash into the garage. The best laid plans have a way of being thwarted by cosmic forces.

Some cars are collectable whether or not you ever decide to repair or drive them - just having it in the garage is enough....

I don't even have a garage (yet), but lot's of cars I want deserve one.
Like I said before, This is the kind of car I would buy first and ask questions later. I missed out on a 1929 LaSalle about 4 years ago. I felt it needed a garage to work on it. And for a few things (like the woodwork - which I'm really good at) it did. I regret not getting that pretty car, but maybe someday I'll find another nice car like that to almost inherit. (the owner was only asking $1000). /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Update on the A-S (AKA Lady Evelyn)....it will arrive by enclosed car carrier in April. Can't wait to post pics on the gallery, but even more, to cruise around town in an elegant piece of fine machinery. And of course there is a lot to be said for keeping company with a younger woman...(ouch! Leggo of the ear, No dear I was refering to the Armstrong-Siddeley!!)
