Cleaning up my shocks for my 69 TR6. What color should the body be and the lever arm? Mine were so corroded I couldn't tell. Trying to keep it as close to original.
 
Pigott in the Collectors Guide says Black, Silver and Natural....not much help.

Usually what I do is keep the body natural or silver and paint the arm black.

I’m with Tush...natural aluminum body and black arm and it’s the same on the MGB and Bugeye. If the body is really corroded I would use a cast aluminum paint.
