Moss offers these consoles, (among others). For about $130.

anyone has one? Are they well made?

were they an option, back in the day?

thanks for your input.

The red TR3A that is exhibited at the UK Heritage Center in Gaydon, England shows a center console. I can't locate the picture of it but I seem to remember that it is a child's seat console.

I have one in my car. I have had it for about 3 years, probably bought it when they first came out and had it made with white piping to match my interior. I can't remember what I paid but it is a well made piece, has a shallow cup holder and is a nice place to rest your arm. It is shallow so you can't store a whole lot in it, but is a good place to put small bits like pens or pocket change; it's also a handy place to store the Dzus key. I think it dresses up the interior quite nicely. There was no such thing as center consoles or (gasp!) cup holders when the car was new.

I have one in my 250. It is made of plastic, but I like it and nice to have a place to rest your arm on long drives. Perfect for garage door opener, wallet, extra keys etc.

I have one in my Bugeye. I bought it from the Little British Car Company. If you buy from them it is about 10% cheaper and since I live in California I didn't have to pay sales tax either so the whole deal was about 18% cheaper. i think they are a nice addition. The only thing I don't like is they only come in black and I have red upolstery. Other then that I like it.

Pretty close to the MGB center console. With a little modification, one of those will work.

There are a lot more eBay MG options on these arm rest than triumph ( not sure about bugeye) options.

if the arm rest are the same size here is a link on color customizing options.

I bought one of these when I first got my TR3A. I returned it though, as I found, being 6'2", that I needed to put my hand on the center hump and push to get out of the car. It seemed the plastic wouldn't be strong enough to hold my weight as I egressed.

I purchased one from Moss.
i can see why you were wary of putting weight on it.
i am under whelmed with the quality ( see review in my blog), but will keep it, because as tinman points out it is convenient for small stuff storage & more comfortable than nothing.(& I don't have time to shop around)

i would not recommend it though.

I have one too. It gives a little more storage and a place for my wife to put her drink. I'm (we're) very happy with it.

I have taken pictures of the console and the red cover, but I don't know how to get them on the BCF so if you PM me your E-Mail I could sent them to you.
