I found these parts in the trunk of my 64 BJ8 (see attachment)and I do not know if they are for my car. The interior of the car was in the trunk, at least what I had of it. I hope this picture is clear enough for someone to identify them. Thanks for your help.

John

Many years since replaced window glass but the two on the right appear like a part of window wind mechanism, a roller which is on end of lever arm fits in the channel and as crank is turned the lever arm moves up/down and as roller moved down channel the channel is driven up/down and is basis for window movement. Guess on other two is related to sill where door bottom closes against body, again many years ago and much sand through hourglass

john,i dont know exactly what they are but i do know the ones on the right are not window channels, window channels are norrower, have a place at the bottom for a bracket, and are arched.see attch.if i would venture a guess id say replacement sill pieces ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

Hi John,
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif Those aluminum pieces on the left look like the top sill trim pieces. Here’s a picture of there location. There are 3 trim pieces per side of the car, all have a round raised bumpy texture on them.

gregw, that looks about right,i couldnt see the "texture" in the photos.ya ive thought about posting picts of rear speaker set up but didnt want to seem i was whipping a dead frog,i cause enough trouble around here, when you said "reopen the thread" do you mean go back into the history of the thread and revive it using a method that is unknown to me,or just start the subject thanks,anthony7777 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

The parts on the left are alloy inside sill corners. The parts on the right look like a seat runner assembly, minus a bunch of other bits. I wouldn't bother using them. New ones are easily found and those are knarly.

Sorry, I should have given more info. The aluminum pieces have 6 holes in them that appear maybe to have had split rivits in them and there is a deliberate arch the entire length of the pieces of about 1/2" high. The steel rusted pieces have 5 split rivits in them. The past owner also had two other Healeys and these parts may be for one of those cars.

Hi John,
The parts on the right appear to be the weather stripping (minus the rubber part) that attaches along the top of the doors on the inside and outside of the window. Look at parts 11 & 14 here. Hard to tell though.

I'll second that.

I checked and the steel parts and they do fit the inside of the window opening. The outer weather strip fits on the chrome door molding and the door top extension with 8 clips. I don't know about the inner molding. I will have to buy the inner molding and see if it fits these metal parts or just the door extension. The pictures show that the inner molding attaches with 8 clips also. Thanks for your help and have a good day!

John

While getting order ready for sheetmetal parts I discovered from British Car Specialties that the steel parts are the door panel front edge. I still don't know about the aluminum parts but they are not textured.
