are these from a BN1/BN2 by chance...?

Reid,
Don't the Healey seat pans & bottoms have the inboard front corners on a diagonal? I don't see this on the Ebay offering.

Odd, he went to his mechanic to have them installed whith bad covers, rusted through and only one pan. Whatever.

Could these be TR-3 seats, or a variation of TR & Healey with Healey back and TR bottom?

They are from a AH Sprite! Cheap at the current price.

Paul

The backs have the early Healey curve on the sides. The bottoms looked wrong. Paul, is it AH Sprite all around, top & bottom? Bug eye Sprite? I want to know because I bought a modified Healey and will keep the V-8 and tranny, but want everything else to look rally/stock. I was going to go with racing seats because of high pricing on used/new Healey parts. But if there is another choice, I will could change my mind

If you go racing you will find out all about the meaning of "high pricing." I'm about ready to spend $250 on rear view mirrors. I'm getting the cheap ones. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Trust me, I am afraid. At times I can feel this project getting out of control. At least I don't have to explain anything to wifey, because she's ex-wifey!

As for the seats- I'm a ways off from having to make a decision now, but since I'm going with a Works look, and I have a hardtop I feel I can "get away" with a taller racing seat. The prices are a lot cheaper than Healey seats and safer. The question is, are they comfortable??

BTW, what kind of mirrors cost $250?

The backs are the same (Big Healey or Sprite) and the bottoms are different (they work for a 58 to 61 sprite). The bottoms on ebay look to have been welded/repaired. Common, as the tend to rust out in the pans. They will need seat adjusters, as they are not attached. There is a guy on ebay that makes reproduction seats for the B/E will vinyl covers for abolut $500.00 a pair.

Seat base as shown in the "xxxx" catalogue for BN1/2 doesnt match the pics

Must be de mirror, mirror on de wall
, who is de fairest of all mirrors anthony7777 for dat price!

modifiedbj7, there is also a guy often on eBay that advertises his seats as "rat rod/healey/bomber/custom seats, Ive called and spoken to him hes often got healey frames that he will redo in any style, material, color, custom or traditional, Ive gotten prices from him to do my entire interior, the pictures of his work appear to be professional and very well done, since im not ever going to place my car (bj7) in any type of judged competition im seriously considering using his services, from what he told me his prices are a fraction of what you find in most places, Ive gotten prises from other places for up to $600.00 each to redo my front seats, i plan on sending my two front seats to him for a total rehab i.e. new foam padding "oxblood" red, along with an original swath of leather material i found in the r/s door panel of my car that matches my dash, since most of the new red leather kits i looked at are way too pink to look anything like an original color and the prices make me see "red", ya might want to look at his stuff on eBay.

Reid, those are really nice mirrors, i totally understand the safety issue and the requirement to use them, i had an accident in my pick up truck in 1991 that caused the drivers side rear view mirror to explode hurling shards of glass through my opened window a piece slit my left eyelid from top to bottom without touching my eyeball, very, very lucky for me, i was also lucky in the fact that the hospital i went to in Arizona had a great plastic surgeon that sawed up the lid and it cant be noticed at all, be safe while ya go fast! :savewave:

They look very fast! I lean towards the alloy door mirrors. Priced reasonable too.

Charlie,

Those are the Raydot reproductions.

Cheers!
