Wedge Are these factory TR8 wheels?

Take a look at this photo of the TR8 I just got.

The owner says that these are factory optional TR8 wheels -- and that they are rare. I've never seen them, nor can I find any documentation of them anywhere. (Of course, I can't find any online listings for any TR8 options.)

I've seen a zillion pictures of aftermarket ones, and these never appear.

Does anyone know if these are indeed factory wheels?

If indeed they are factory wheels, then they are EXTREMELY rare. The stock factory wheels are the same as the alloys on my Spider.

I've never seen those before. I bought a brand new TR8 from a dealer in 81, and at that time no optional wheels were offered.

Edit: are those 100+ Octavias? They were a popular aftermarket wheel around that time.

I bought a set of those for my Spitfire. I was told they were 100+ wheels.

Those look like them. I figured they were dealer-installed, not factory.

I guess I'll have to find a set of original alloys -- I like the stock ones better anyway.

Thanks!!!
Sam

maybe they are after market from the UK for like a MGF or some thing like that? try looking on ebay.co.uk

Mine say made in the UK on them - I think they are 70s vintage - certainly too new for a MGF. The only other cars I know using that bolt pattern is Morris Marina, and some Lotus with Spitfire front suspension (Europa, etc). I gave up searching for info on them. 100+ is hopeless for searching on and Octavia returns a bunch of info on Skodas.

100+ is a UK brand, so that fits. I also tried searching 100+ Octavia and found the same thing, even with excluding a bunch of Skoda terms. Oh well. I know that the Octavias were one of the few semi-affordable choices for the Triumph PCD. May have been a dealer installed option, or the info on the provenance of the wheels may simply have been lost in the mists of time.....
