Keep looking. I recently found a solid, fairly nice 66 anglia . It was in Luray Va., but had always been a DC area car. There is always ebay. I was tempted by a really solid cortina wagon out west, but bought the anglia instead.
Since 90% of Healeys went to the USA, that's where I looked for one, and since I suspect a comparable proportion of Cortinas stayed at home.... have you considered importing from the UK?
Just a thought, I found bring mine back was pretty straightforward. Perhaps American bureaucrats may be easy, too? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif
My friend Pete owns #444 (seen below from a camera in my car at Shannonville, Ontario).
It's a vintage racer and is presently for sale.
He also has two others that are "projects" and may be for sale. Call him at 973-383-8859.
He's in NJ, sort of near the Delaware Water Gap.
