I have had a request from someone with a 70 MGB and they want to get either HS2 or HS4 SU's. I have a pair of HIF4's off my 73 MGB. Can they be used on the 1970 MGB?

Should be a straight-up replacement. Some small plumbing mods. What's wrong with the original HS4's on the '70 that they can't be rebuilt?? HS2's would be totally inappropriate, BTW.

There's some bracketry differences but nothing that can't be overcome if you have "EVERYTHING" that was with the HIF-4's (to include the weird shaped accelerator cable bracket).

But on a 1275 they really sing.

There was no explanation why he wants carbs in the email request. I will pass this info on. Thanks guys.

If I was upgrading, either a 1.5", or a 1.75" over a 2" anytime, must be the jet/choke choices and/or a better emulsifying effect due to higher velocities, etc
