Archives - where are they?

Hi. Just a quick question.

I have had a few thread headers saved in my favorites list. Since the move all are inoperative. I did read that 11 years of old threads had been moved / saved but I can't find them. How do I find them?

I have the same issue. I saved lots of links to threads that would be of interest now I am on a strip down but as Tony states, they no longer work.

Getting the new software up, Basil had to put it in another folder on the server. The old forum was in www.britishcarforum.com/ubbthreads/... The new one is in www.britishcarforum.com/bcf/... So any old link that has the /ubbthreads/ in it won't work.

They are all right here in the same forum you posted this question. Can you paste the URL of one of your saved favorites in this thread for me to look at? I'm curious if just swapping "ubbthread" with "bcf" will fix the problem. Otherwise you may need to search for those threads again.

Please see the sticky post at the top of this (and most other) forums. I wrote a script that might help.

Oh dear! I deleted the old URLs because they weren't working. Is there not an archive thread as in old system were you could drag up "all dates"? I had been working through them from page 300+ - and learning a **** of a lot on the way. It would be a shame if years of accumulated knowledge and wisdom were to be lost for ever.

As I said before, all the old threads are here in this forum. Have you tried the search function?

One thing to note. At the bottom of the Healey forum main page, you'll see a box marked "Thread Display Options". The forum seems to default to the last 100 days of posts. You can use the dropdown box and select "Beginning" to see all the threads that have been posted since the year 2000.

As Greg said, all of the posts and threads from the old forum are on THIS forum. However, if you deleted all the old forum URLs there isn't much I can do to help. If you don't have the URLs from before with the thread numbers then all you can do is search for the threads of interest and re-bookmark them. If somehow you can recover all the old URLs then you can use the tool I made to determine where the threads are on this new forum. If you replied to any of the threads in question, then you can seach for your own posts and maybe find some of them that way.
