If I have offended waxing eloquent engine speak; giving
advice or opinions out of turn, forgive me. It's just
my nerdy side.

Feeling the cold shoulder. Not a good time for me as I enter
the rebuild phase of my engine.

But more than that, it's not the material thing itself that
concerns me most; rather, the sense of loss of companionship
I glean from being a Forum member.

Best wishes always,

You confused me with that message. I have no idea what you are apologizing about. Please explain.

You've never offended me.

Me neither. I was just reading this going huh ???

Thanks. Yeah. It's about telling TR6 Bill to pull
his head, take two asprin and call us in the morning
or some such thing. I mean, I meant to encourage to
do something all the while being a bit funny.

I think things I say can come accross as sounding
nasty. Also, you must know, I feel inferior to most
guys on the net.

I'm so neeedy, I'm sooo neeedy. Yeah, gotta laugh at
myself. Maybe just paranoid and nerdy. Dang!

Where's the Doctor? Doc, it all started way back
when............

How can you imagine loss of companionship on an international net connection?
Not only are there thousands of people reading what you write, but many that respond. AND, you rarely get to meet any of them face to face!
If you want real companionship, you must distinguish between real people and virtual friends.
Me personally, I find the people on this forum to be GREAT. But I seem to be lacking companionship in the local social circles. (I don't drink enough)

:iagree: Me too!
You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all of the time!!!

> You can please some of the people some of the time...

You can fool most of the people some of the time and that's good enough to sell Lucas Electrical stuff.

Okay, Okay. I just read and laugh and think.
Forum is kind of an outlet for me. Begs a good
question re virtual friends.

Seems if a guy in...name the place...takes the time
out of his day to read and listen to my problems and
beefs and then puts out energy to help me in some way...
can't help but call them a friend, huh?

Thanks. Now I gotta post re things I don't understand
and hope for help.

No apology necessary - I've done things like that many times.I guess it keeps some of us humble.

Did I hear my name mentioned here? Dude, geez, that went right over my head. Don't read into your own posts so much. I certainly took no offense to anything said. All is good.

Keep on keepin on.

Oh, and I did take those aspirin....

Dennis! I been "outta town"!!!

...gotta play catch-up with posts due to spotty access.

Keep your energy levels UP, dude. We're all here watchin'

I'm just semi-incommunicado ATM. Can only get a few minutes' "quality time" onna 'net just now. Listen to all THOSE guys' advice and comment, you ain't bein' ignored, pal.

:nonono: Smile! If you haven't offended someone at some time then quite frankly this person thinks you don't have an opinion. Geez, I've offended many people and certainly haven't set out to do that. I don't always have the gift of the blarney but I don't beat myself up about an occasional lack of empathy, intelligence or just plain old fashioned good sense.

I would hope that none of us on this forum are so thin skinned that we would give anyone a 'cold shoulder.'

As an f/y/i you've never offended me!

Hi Dennis,

I was just passing thru and started to read your thd. Well Sir; I had to read ea. post as I really was`nt sure what the heck you were talking about???????

Anyways, Keep the faith as no one here needs any apologies (Is that how you spell that), for being "FRIENDLY"!!

Regards,

Russ
