...a $100 BestBuy gift card? I know it's an odd one. It was a gift and I don't shop there. I'll trade it for a $100 home depot gift card if anyone has one. I'd rather the HD card to get some more Insullation and Sheetrock for the Garage. :smile:

How long have you had it . not that I'm interested it just that they do lose value over time.
 
I hope not. It was a Christmas gift - 2007. I've checked online with the pin and it still states it is $100.
 
Some states do not allow gift cards to lose their value over time. Illinois is one...I recently used a restaurant card that stated it would lose $1.50 per month after one year...it was over two years old; I was given full credit.
 
I never knew about that and just read about it the other day. One company made 80 million (billion?) on gift cards and they were never used because of the $1.50 a month deduction. A court found them guilty and were ordered to pay 8 million (billion?) Not a bad payday 72 million and never selling a thing.
