Howdy all! I hope everyone is doing well on this beautiful spring day.

I've got a quick question. Has anyone ever used one of those pressurized car bubbles/capsules to store a car? I'm about to begin the long-awaited garage expansion project, and this seems like an option for keeping the 250 out of the weather for a while:

I guess I'd rather rent a storage unit if I had to keep it out of the elements for a period of time.

I don't think these would work very good outside especially during any heavy storms. If you still have room indoors just cover the car with an indoor cover or some soft blankets, etc.

If this was the ultimate answer to indoor storage all of the museums would have their cars in 'em.

Of course, for $350.00, it not a bad deal if they throw in the MG.
 
The advertisement clearly states "Indoor use only". Among many reasons not to put it outside is the 'green house' effect. We all know what happens when we park cars in the sun with the windows rolled up. It gets hotter then heck in there. Put this outside, with a car inside, and you cook the car.

Better to buy one of the many tents available.
 
I once built a "bubble" like that for solar heating. The clear plastic in the sun got up to around 160 degrees inside.

The "car capsule" doesn't sound good for outdoor use at all - but maybe under a tent or in a carport?
