My grandfather learned how to play in the Navy during WWII and passed it along to everyone in the family. Since none of my family is around here I don't have anyone to play with.

come up to toronto and i will give you a game or two

You're always welcome in Utah for a game. Haven't played in years, though I do have a nice small board at home.

hmmmm.... Spades is the game for me. picked that one up in the Marines. My bud, an ex-submariner, picked up Spades in the Navy. We play at least once a month.

My Grandmother taught me to play about 40 years ago, I never
did manage to beat her 3 games in a row, as she usually kicked
my @ss... And most of my friends don't like to play me because
I kick their @sses...

I've always wanted to learn, and went so far as to buy a set. Trouble is, I can't quite get it by myself, and don't know anyone who could teach me.

Gin was a game my mother taught me. Trouble is, if she wants to play, she has to re-teach me the game just about every time. After a few games, I start winning. She would have liked for me to remember how to play, but was glad that I didn't fall into the trap of gin or hearts games in college.
