After viewing a few videos on YouTube.com of the TVR Sagaris, I'm seriously thinking of buying one! Anyone on this list have some experience driving one or has even seen one in person?

Steve

I hope you can get the DOT to give you a waiver. If you do let me know how you did it!

I heard that the present owners of TVR are currently laying down the plans to bring sell the Sagaris in the US. So I don't think we'll need to deal with the DOT at all.

Oh, click here for the video.

Steve,
Have been out for a spirited ride in a Sagaris on two different occasions and they are simply INCREDIBLE!!!
Ferocious performance, mind-boggling handling.....just a phenomenal car!!!

Marshall,

I guess there is an advantage to being Mr. TVR.

Occasionally, there is. When I'm in the UK in three weeks, I anticipate some more interesting rides during the 60th anniversary TVR festivities, as well as the Big Bad Wedge Fest.

I know a guy that knows a guy…. That bought a used Lotus from England off Ebay. Had the title and bill of sale Fedexed to Tennessee where he got a Tennessee title. Then had the car shipped to a Mexican port, flew down on vacation and the drove it back. I know some states will title anything Tennessee and Alabama are that way. All the are looking for is the taxes.

I think South Carolina is very much like that as well. If I could get my hands on a decent 450SE in LHD, I'd be tempted to ship it over here and title it in SC.

I think they have to be over 25 years old to be exempt.

I'd suggest that you consider a Gen II Viper GTS until the Sagaris is imported (which could be a while if it happens.) The Viper is very much the same concept as the TVR, except that the Viper is built by the company that supplies the components, unlike the TVR. Everything about it reminds me of a TVR.

Regards,

Jim
