Anyone need a rack and pinion for a project?

I have a left over rack and pinion unit from a Smart car, not sure about that though. Was going in the trash at work so I snagged it. Anyone need it, have an application for it? Race car, street car, or.....? Dimensions, etc. available, send PM

There was a guy on mk1-forum who wanted a Mini rack or something similar for a kit car (3-wheeler I think). I'll try to find the link.
