anyone near Victoria, British Columbia?

Actually I'm pretty flexible in price range, but don't want to get "taken". I have to figure what work is needed on a car, so I always have someone knowledgable take a look first.

Here's a couple nice ones - but a bit high for me:

And I know a guy near me who paid over $25K for a 1959 TR3 like mine just last year, from a "classic center", and has spent over $10K just to make it roadworthy. Not a show car - just roadworthy. It sure is pretty, but it still isn't drivable due to rotten frame and worn engine. Yikes!

Hi Mark - That one sure looks familiar. But how do I reach the seller?

Thanks.
Tom

Thanks Mark. One of the search engines I use is SearchTempest. I could have sworn it included Kijiji, but I just found out it doesn't have that function yet.

Thanks for the heads-up. Altho' the ad was posted over a month ago, I've emailed the seller of that 1961 to see if it's still for sale.

Funnily enough I was getting the oil changed in my car Friday and was reading Old Autos Magazine - https://www.oldautos.ca/ - and saw this same ad - was contemplating calling the shop tomorrow - on the plus side, it was also advertised in Old Autos suggesting the owner is a car guy.

I like this one

Classic Pre-war Mercedes Benz Model 170V Right Hand Drive, 4 cylinder gasoline, restored, perfect running condition, minor touch up paint needed. 15k

Whenever I see an old 170, I can't help but remember Colonel Klink. Altho' I doubt his staff car's steering wheel was on the right side.

Despite the urge to snap it up, I have my doubts about driving it on my coast to coast adventure!
