I found something I may be interested in. I need someone who knows something about what to look for in used underpriced stuff. The guy says he doesn;t think any previous paint/body work has been done but something isn't quite right with the price. Anyone here willing to take a look? I'll pay you for your time. Thanks.
 
Figured out what's wrong, guy is a...well...anyway, I asked for more pics (only one was of the body, other two were engine and front seat). The guy said he's "not jumping through hoops for someone who probably isn't serious and doesn't have the money".....I hope he doesn't like soup. :whistle:

Anyway, the good news is a local police agency (that's know for lots of highway miles and no chases) is going to sell 8 cars soon so we'll see.
 
I'd go with "local" any day.That way you can at least "kick th' tires" first.
 
If you are looking for a big boat, you need to look in South Florida. Old guys treat themselves to one when they retire there and hardly ever drive them. I bought this '96 Caprice with the LT1 in 2006 with under 30k on it in Bradenton. It was like a brand new car. Basically the 9C1 cop car in civilian clothes. Had every option known to mankind and I put over 70k on it before selling it this year. Really great car and deceptively quick for a barge:

 
If you want a big sedan with all the amenities you should look into a mid to late 60s Caddy. Even an early 60s Buick or Olds would be pretty cool.

Until a few years ago you could even easily find an old Rolls in great nick for slim money. Sarasota/Bradenton area. That's about as big a rolling boat as there is. :wink:

Guys, I have a car that gets 3 gallons to the mile, I need a newer car.

Looking for a good car now'a'days is about as difficult as finding a good spouse.
 
I keep trying to steer you the right way and you keep talking about gas mileage.

Thanks but the guy is an arse and I'm not sending anyone anywhere if he can onlt supply me with one picture of it before hand.

The smoothest riding, nicest handling and quietest big car we ever owned was a 96 Chrysler LHS. Had every option available, so it was heavy. PJ
