Well it appears someone has dropped in a 1489cc MGA engine. I'm not sure they would have gained much by doing that.

That's an interesting setup. Is that a massive header tank for the radiator?

Probably done "back in the day" because it was the motor they had in the corner of the garage.

The lister said the car had spend some time in Mexico. Wonder if that's where the modifications were done.

The seller doesn't know anything about it, probably doesn't even know that is not the correct engine.
