2013 is the 60th anniversary of Triumph sports car. anyone know were it will be held or is it too early yet. The last one that I heard of was Aug 4 - 8 1993 in everett Wash. That was 1993.

Hmmm - I for one would think that a celebration of the Triumph sports model would be appropriate to hold all over the civilized world.

But for starters ... why not make BCF the HQ for setting up that world-wide celebration. We certainly have a goodly number of members, all with a healthy interest in the TS.

Any takers at the BCF admin level? <hint hint>

Just my 2¢.

On closer inspection of the poster that I bought last week. It was the VTR that hoasted the show in Everet Wash. I think that they are hoasting the San Luis O Bisbo show in September.

Technically, it is the local VTR Chapter that hosts a VTR "National" convention each year. In 1993, it was TYEE Triumphs; this year it is Southern California Triumph Owners Association (SCTOA) hosting the combined VTR Convention/Triumphest.

As for the anniversary year, it depends on who is celebrating. The year 1952 has also been celebrated with various events, that being the year that the Type 20 Sports (later nicknamed the TR1) made its debut.
