Anyone know what this is - or if it anything?

This has been hanging like this for about 5 years. I can't figure out if it is a kit car or not. Size says maybe but the door openings suggest that maybe it is just a toy. Thoughts?

That's what I am inclined to think - you can see an opening for a rear engine - at the same time it looks as though it could be Berkeley sized

Na, that's a real chain, not swingset stuff. Judging from that it'sit car sized, prob'ly VW based, maybe Fiat. Kinda looks Fiatish up front; they did some weird stuff.
