Came with the HS4 I purchased a while back. Anyone know the original application? It's an adapter for an air filter for an HS4, but no idea which year, make or model....

No, not me.

Some Rover engines used that to connect a top loaded air filter (or hose)to the side of the carb....HS-6's on V8 Rovers had the same thing...I think the stud in the middle was for holding the filter assembly to it.

It is also used on the single carb Mini and the Austin America (some models) to hold on the large "doughnut" air cleaner.

My 1100 has dual carbs so I don't know about 1300's...I know every HS-6 off a Rover that I have has one.
