Was watching a youtube slide show of Montreal Trolley Cars and these two came up. I'm pretty sure it is the same model but I have never seen anything like it - pretty authoritative though!

any ideas? truck 1.JPGtruck 2.JPG

Unimogs I think.

If these are Canadian the darker one has a colored light on top, which could signify airport, or military. The bed looks like the old bomb carriers of old. the light one could be forestry or oil work truck. Just a guess!

They are actually both from the Montreal Street Car Company (whatever it was actually called) but former military could certainly make sense.

Mid 40s FWD.s the FWD truck company is the same company that owned Seagrave for a lot of years.

So, with a little research on the Yahoo group where it initially appeared, looks like they are Sicard Truck. Sicard invented the snow blower - (amazing! now why would THAT occur to a Canadian?! ;) ) Company still exists in Watertown. I want one.

There was a 1952 Sicard snow blower at a farm museum show a few years ago (2008, yikes!), only saw that truck the one time, even though I go most years...
