Have a 92(?) Lotus M100 Elan, the fwd turbo Isuzu.

Does anyone know of a source for a fuel pressure regulator rebuild/repair kit, or regulator that can be purchased for less than the cost of first son?
 
What problem are you having exactly - what price are you trying to stay under, or are you looking for OEM, etc? If you just want a FPR that will work you should be able to find one from someone like Summit. You might have to adapt the plumbing. But I think they're pretty much universal items so far as functionality goes. High pressure (EFI) regulators generally range $100 - $150. They need to be pretty consistent and accurate since proper fuel delivery metering is dependent on the fuel rail pressure.
 
Sadly they are not a universal type. We've already tried two, one from Summit, one from some other source. This Isuzu turbo engine has the fuel pressure regulator built in to the fuel rail...

So maybe we need to find a fuel rail. As have we have had no luck finding the fuel pressure regulator anymore. We get getting the reply NLA

It's GOTTA be a "Bosch under license" Nippondenso (or suchlike) bit, no?
 
Doc, your suggestions were a lead, wrong lead, but led to a different path where we were able to get a pressure regulator.

Summit. seems it also works on FI Corvettes(early ones).

Now instead of waiting for the owner to never get a repair manual for it. Does anyone know what the fuel pressure is supposed to be set at(the replacement from Summit is adjustable)?

Well, I apologise for th' misleading info.

As for pressures, wot injectors? Again, that was all Bosch-ish, was it not?

A WAG would be 28 P.S.I. at th' injectors.
 
Doc, no need to apologize. If you hadn't got me going off in the direction of major parts suppliers, I wouldn't have found that Isuzu Impulse Turbo/Lotus M elan engine use a GM fuel pressure regulator. We spent, literally months trying to track one down without spending over 300 plus that Lotii dealers wanted....
 
Gee - an adjustable GM pressure regulator from Summit. Who woulda thunk it? :whistle:
 
Yah, a direct pop in for a M100 Lotus Elan.. Who WOULDA thunk it? Not me, if it hadn't been for the prod from Doc, I would have never gone on the domestic replacement tangent. All the cars in the landlords fleet, except the Panoz and the 328 and the M Elan are carbed....
