WOW thanks for thinking of me guys. Where do I begin?
My hobby has sort of taken a back burner to other people's project and I guess I lost sight of you guys. Could it have been that long? July? After being one of the top posters around here it's odd looking at my posts an not seeing one in 3 1/2 months. That's bad. We went on Vacation, job got busy as did all these other project I've been on. I guess you guys taught me took goo as I've branched out on my own and am working my butt off.
During my last several posts I was working on a '65 that was almost done when I went away. I had 1 week to finish it before I had to enter it in a show for the owner. We took third in class behind a Big Healey and a pristine '67 Vette. Not bad company and I was proud of what i'd didid

I'm also building and engine for his '67 MGB, in the middle of my MGB engine rebuild as well as another B and a TC/TD engine I built on spec.
I was also doing a lot more work on my TD. Pulled the engine and other than pulling the pistons, rebuilt it. New real seal, bearings, timing chain...and it's all back together. Wiring harness stripped out of car, dash is out and re-covered. It looks great. Did I post about that? I've got a really bad case of incurable CRS these days and everything is a blur. One rear spring was pulled and I rebuilt, refinished, re-bushed...you name it darn it's purty!!!!Put it back in and then another project.
Back in May I picked up an '80 MGB. Typical rust but had potential. I'll spare the story that followed up until I met the handy man that works for our company. He's this LE you see and I saw some of the work he did for us and in what I think was a moment of genius said, "how about a trade?" This was the deal. I've been working in my garage wrenching on these cars and selling a ton of parts to keep my cars alive. It's not insulated or sheet rocked. Bare walls and ceiling and in the winter, it's freezing out there. (was that a shiver I just felt Doc?) If I were a dog my owner would be arrested and I'm tired of the salesman over at sears calling me Mr. Pina every time I come in with a broken tool. You see metal shatters when it freezes. My deal to the handy man was this. You buy the insulation, rock, install it all, tape and spackle and I'll give you the car. he jumped on the idea. This deal was struck mid August when I got back from vacation. Since then I have been purging parts, organizing and getting the garage ready for him to do his work. I also had to get the cars on dollies to roll them around. On top of that, there were a million other things to do. Well it took him close to two months to finally get here and get started. That two months was rough as I still had some commitments that needed to be finished. He finished up a week ago and I've been prepping the garage ever since to prime and paint. I'm almost there but several other things came up that I needed the garage for so I'm moving back in a little but I need to stop because it's not done yet. Best part is IT"S REALLY WARM OUT THERE!!!!!
Hmm what else. I've taken on probably 3 more cars since July but I'm bartering those for other work (like I did with my '63). Another '63 is being picked up Saturday and in two weeks I get another '72. There is a '72 in the garage right now, I just pulled the engine about an hour ago and the rest of it is being parted out. I really mainly post over at the MGE for parts as I considered this place more holy to and did not like to start posting about parts and services.....kind don't "ca-rap where you eat" type of deal.
My '63 is finally getting the bodywork done.....I could go on and on but why bore useguys?? ;-)
