I am missing one thing that looks like it was maybe a light to the left of the sterring wheel. It is a hole the size of a dime. On the center consoel I think the cigarette lighter was removed and the new modern radio took over the wire. so..anyone have a pic of these or can take one for me so I can see what went where? Also, was the cigarette lighter always on even with the ignition off? I am guessing yes??

thanks!

Hi

To left of the 2 small gauges on your dash should be 2 rocker switches (square holes) and the dash light dimmer (round). I guess it's gone ...lol they were useless even when they worked :playful: Here's a pic I swiped off a Google search for you (my '72 B is way different)

My B's lighter is wired off fuse #4, the bottom one, hot all the time, but its light is fed from the dash lights. All the wiring's original unmolested, thank goodness, so I know it's right. Hope this helps - cheers!

thanks guy sbut someone must have messed with mine, the dash dimer switch is there Its to the right of the hazard switch and left of the speedometer. Must have been a custom job..?

that's an unfortunate DPO job; who knows what they stuck in there :(

You could find a rubber or plastic plug, or maybe rig a convenient warning light there, like "overdrive on" if so equipped ... or "lights on" like I did w/mine (pic) I drilled a 1/2" hole, that was scary! Works fine tho

The red light above used to be brake failure (never worked); now it's "O/D on" ... earning its keep hehe.MONITOR LITES.jpg

great idea foresghost !i am thinking somethign like "turbo", "bat propuslsion" or "lightspeed engaged"...that would be hilarious!
