This joker bought a fender from me that I clearly marked NO SHIPPING and then demanded I ship it to him. Nice...

Just my bad luck or is this a know issue with this guy?

He is probably the highest volume Triumph parts seller on ebay, or at least in the top 5. I think I've bought from him once or twice over the years, didn't have an issue as I recall. I can't prove it, but you probably can get some feedback on him from triumphclassics, another high volume seller - a month or two ago I remember reading their ads and they were basically in a big catfight back and forth for a while.

Guys: Please remember Basil's policy about ebay and vendors.

Thanks,
Mickey

I buy from him once in a while. He's in NH so shipping to me in Maine is always fair. And never had a bad purchase from him in several years of doing business. What I like is that he doesn't paint over rust flat black to hide defects like other sellers do. WYSIWYG.

Eh, stuff happens. Why not go ahead and ship it to him? I'm sure that for $200-300 you could find someone to crate it up for you; and of course he would have to pay shipping and handling

My gardener would probably do it for $75, shall I send him over?

tdskip,
I have bought from Steve several times. No problems. If you marked the item as LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, he'll just have to deal with it. I highly doubt ebay would side with him. Although, I do like Randall's idea: custom wooden crate with foam interior sounds like 2-3 bills.
Good Luck
Tim

I don't know. I bought enough little bits from him over the years, I think of him as one of the good guys. I'd say clear up the mis-interpretation with him and either let hom pay for boxing and shipping or relist it on ebay.

I'm thinking I bought stuff from him too. No problems.

tdskip,

This stevetriumphtr6 was the subject of some threads on the other forum a year and a half ago. I won't repeat here what was said, but you had an opinion of him them. Go search for your post there, it may help you to decide what to do with this current transaction.

If you go to a body shop they are always getting fenders in and happy to get rid of the boxes. I did that very thing a few years ago when I sold a TR3 fender.
